Therapy where you actually live

Physical therapy that meets you at your own front step

The goal is not ten reps in a clinic. The goal is your father carrying his coffee to the porch again. Our licensed physical therapists rebuild strength and balance in the rooms, hallways and doorsteps where life actually happens.

What home PT includes

  • Functional evaluation of strength, balance, gait and the home itself
  • Post-surgical rehabilitation for knees, hips, shoulders and spines
  • Gait and balance training that moves people from walker to cane to confidence
  • Fall prevention, including get-up-from-the-floor training that saves lives
  • Stroke and neurological rehab coordinated with occupational and speech therapy
  • Pain management through movement, positioning and manual techniques
  • Home exercise programs in large print, taught until they stick

Why home beats the clinic for seniors

Outpatient PT fails older adults quietly: the drive is exhausting, appointments get skipped, and exercises practiced on clinic equipment never transfer to a cramped bathroom. Our therapists treat the real environment, the real schedule and the real person, and progress shows it.

Each plan sets functional goals the family helps choose. Not "improve strength 20 percent" but "shower standing up," "walk to bingo," "lift the grandkid." Then we measure, adjust and graduate.

How it is paid: Medicare covers in-home PT at 100 percent with a physician order and homebound status. Medicare Advantage and most commercial plans cover it with authorization, which we obtain for you. Private-pay visits are available when coverage ends but goals remain.

Questions about therapy at home

Is home physical therapy as effective as a clinic?

For most older adults it is more effective, because therapy happens on the actual stairs, shower ledge and kitchen floor the patient needs to master, and because no-show rates collapse when there is no drive across town in 108-degree heat. Studies and our own outcomes both show home-based PT matching or beating outpatient results for post-surgical and fall-risk patients.

Does Medicare cover PT at home?

Yes. With a physician's order and homebound status, Medicare covers in-home physical therapy at 100 percent. We verify your benefits free of charge and handle the paperwork with your doctor.

What conditions do your therapists treat?

Joint replacements, hip fractures, stroke recovery, Parkinson's disease, neuropathy, deconditioning after hospital stays, balance disorders and chronic pain. Every plan starts with a functional evaluation and ends with measurable goals: walk to the mailbox, climb the front steps, get off the floor unassisted.

How long are visits and how many will we get?

Typical visits run 40 to 60 minutes, two to three times weekly, over four to nine weeks depending on the physician-signed plan. Patients and families also get a between-visit exercise program, because the real progress happens on the days we are not there.
