Frequently asked questions

The answers below are the same ones we give on the phone, including the parts other agencies tend to mumble. If your question is not here, call (702) 555-0142 and ask us directly.

How much does in-home care cost in Las Vegas?

Private-pay personal care in the Las Vegas Valley typically runs between 32 and 42 dollars per hour depending on the level of care and schedule, with discounted rates for 12-hour and 24-hour blocks. Skilled home health ordered by a physician is usually covered by Medicare at 100 percent, meaning no hourly cost to you at all. After our free assessment you receive exact pricing in writing, and we never charge enrollment fees or deposits.

Does Medicare cover home health care?

Yes, when three conditions are met: a physician orders the care, the care needed is skilled and intermittent (nursing or therapy), and the patient is considered homebound. When those apply, Original Medicare pays 100 percent for covered visits with no copay or deductible. We verify eligibility for you free of charge and handle all the paperwork with your doctor.

Does Nevada Medicaid pay for home care?

Nevada Medicaid covers personal care services for eligible members, and waiver programs can fund substantial weekly hours of in-home help. The application process is confusing, so our advisors walk families through it at no cost, whether or not you ultimately choose us.

What VA benefits pay for home care?

Veterans and surviving spouses may qualify for the VA Homemaker and Home Health Aide program, or for Aid and Attendance, a monthly pension supplement of over two thousand dollars for many married veterans. Huge numbers of eligible Las Vegas veterans never claim these earned benefits. We help you apply.

How are your caregivers screened?

Every caregiver passes a national and Nevada fingerprint background check, license and certification verification, reference checks, TB test, drug screening and a driving record review before being hired as a W-2 employee. They then complete our 40-hour training academy before ever working a shift, and are supervised in the home by a registered nurse.

Can we choose or change our caregiver?

Yes. We hand-match by skills, schedule and personality, then introduce the caregiver in person before care begins. If the chemistry is not right, tell us and we will rematch, no awkward conversation and no questions asked.

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Our minimum visit is four hours, which is among the most flexible in the valley. There are no weekly minimums, no long-term contracts and no cancellation penalties with 48 hours notice.

What if our caregiver is sick or on vacation?

Coverage is our job, not yours. Your loved one has a familiar, fully-briefed backup caregiver, and our staffing team covers callouts without missed visits. We never leave a scheduled shift unfilled.

Do you provide care in assisted living or hospice?

Yes. We provide companion and personal care inside assisted living and memory care communities, and we work alongside hospice teams providing the extra hands and presence hospice does not staff, including overnight vigils.

What happens in an emergency during a visit?

Caregivers follow an RN-written emergency protocol: 911 first when warranted, then our on-call nurse, then family, in minutes. Every client also has a no-cost fall-risk and home-safety review during the initial nursing assessment.

Can care start quickly?

Usually within 24 hours of the assessment, and same-day for hospital discharges when you call before noon. The free in-home nursing assessment itself can almost always be scheduled within 24 hours anywhere in the Las Vegas Valley.

What areas do you serve?

The entire Las Vegas Valley: Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Green Valley, Spring Valley, Paradise, Enterprise, Centennial Hills and Boulder City, plus surrounding Clark County communities by arrangement.
